Collection typically includes a main image or video followed by several product images. When someone interacts with a collection ad in the Facebook app, they land on an Instant Experience, a full-screen mobile experience that engages and nurtures interest. Use this guide to understand the design requirements for collection.
Supported objectives and placements
You can choose collection as your ad format when you select the following objectives. In addition, collection can only be seen on mobile.
Objectives- Traffic
- Conversions
- Catalogue Sales
- Store Visits
- Facebook feed (mobile)
- Instagram feed
Creative
Use these guidelines when designing your creative so that your ad looks high quality.
Video- Aspect ratio: 16:9 or 1:1
- Video: H.264 video compression, high-profile preferred, square pixels, fixed frame rate, progressive scan
- Audio: Stereo AAC audio compression, 128 kbps
- Aspect ratio: 1.9:1
- Image size: 1,200 x 628 pixels recommended
- For Instagram: Square (1:1), full landscape/horizontal (16:9) and slideshow. Aspect ratios higher than 1:1 aren't supported on Instagram.
- Aspect ratio: 16:9, 1:1, 2:3 (slideshow automatically crops to 1:1 if each image is a different size)
- Video: H.264 video compression, high-profile preferred, square pixels, fixed frame rate, progressive scan
- Audio: Stereo AAC audio compression, 128 kbps
- Music: WAV, MP3, M4A, FLAC, OGG

- Body (appears above the main creative): 90 characters recommended
- Headline (appears above the four products in the ad): 25 characters recommended
- Note: Headlines aren't supported on Instagram.
- Customisable if you choose Customise up to four products to feature when you create the ad (three products available for Instagram)
