This article covers how to tag your products in photos and videos and how to tag products from your catalogue or Instagram. When people see your products tagged in your posts, they can click those tags to shop for your products. You can tag up to 30 products and links from your shop section in your Page posts.

We recommend you only tag products that appear in your photos and videos so your posts stay relevant to your customers.

Tag a product in a photo

1. Open your post and hover over the photo.
2. Click the Tag products icon .
3. Click the product that you want to tag and start typing in the product's name.
4. Choose the full product name of the product you want to tag when it appears.
5. Click Finished tagging.

You will then see the products you tagged in the photo in the scroll bar above your post.

Tag a product in a video

1. Upload your video.
2. Click the Tag products icon .
3. Enter the names of the products featured in your video.
4. When you've finished, click Publish.

You will then see the products you tagged in your video.

If you're a Page admin with access to a catalogue, you can tag up to 30 products in your Page posts in the same way as you tag products from your shop section. Learn more about catalogues.

If you're a Page admin with access to a catalogue, you can tag up to 30 products in your Page posts in the same way as you tag products from your shop section. Learn more about catalogues.
1. Open your post and click the Tag Products icon .
2. Click the product that you want to tag and start typing in the product's name.
3. Choose the full product name of the product you want to tag when it appears.
4. Click Finished tagging.

Your products will now be tagged in your Page posts.

Note: We don't recommend boosting posts with tagged products, either from your shop section or your catalogue.

If you want to advertise products from your catalogue, we recommend using dynamic ads to promote your products to people who visit your website or app across Facebook, Instagram and Audience Network.

Tag products from your Instagram photos

If you're sharing an Instagram photo to your Facebook Page, you can tag products from your shop section. To tag your products, click to expand the photo on Facebook, then follow the steps below:

1. Click Tag Products.
2. Start typing the product's name.
3. Choose the full name of the product you want to tag when it appears
4. Click Finished tagging.

Your products will now be tagged in the Instagram photo you shared to your Page. This doesn't mean that your photo will show your tagged products on Instagram. These tags will only appear on Facebook.
