Use the Creator Dashboard

You can use the YouTube Creator Dashboard to get a high-level overview of recent activity on your channel, as well as what's new and interesting on YouTube.

Creator Studio Classic

See your Creator Dashboard

You can go directly to your Creator Dashboard using the link youtube.com/dashboard or follow the steps below.

  1. Sign in to YouTube.
  2. Click on your channel icon in the top right.
  3. Select Creator Studio > Dashboard.

Navigate your Creator Dashboard

At the top, you’ll see total views for publicly available videos, your current subscriber count, and the link to go directly to your channel. The Creator Dashboard has five sections:

  • Videos: See basic statistics for your 4 most-recent uploads. Click on a video for more info.
  • Comments: See the most recent comments on your videos. Hover over a comment to reply.
  • Analytics: See watch time, views, and subscribers for your channel over the last 28 days. Click on a chart to go to YouTube Analytics.
  • What's new: Get recent news about product updates from YouTube.
  • Tips: Get suggestions and best practices that are customized to your channel.

Customize your Creator Dashboard

You can customize your Creator Dashboard to get a personalized view of what's relevant to you by selecting which sections appear on the page. To move or remove a section, hover over the section's name, then:

  • Move section: Hover over the grid icon and drag the section to where you'd like it on the page.
  • Remove section: Click the X to remove the section from your dashboard.
  • Customize section: Click the gear button (Comments and Videos sections only).

YouTube Studio

Note: The Creator Dashboard and video snapshot are currently only available in English in YouTube Studio.

See your Creator Dashboard

You can go directly to your YouTube Studio Dashboard by going to YouTube Studio’s main page.

  1. Sign in to YouTube.
  2. You have two options:
    • Go to studio.youtube.com.
    • In Creator Studio classic, click YouTube Studio beta in the main menu.

When you first go to Creator Studio, you’ll land on the Dashboard page. You can also access the Dashboard at any time in the left menu.

Navigate your Creator Dashboard

On the dashboard you’ll see 4 different types of cards.

  • Video Snapshot: With this card, you’ll see a snapshot of how your newest video is performing compared to your last videos. Note that it will take a few hours before the data to be verified and become available.
  • Ideas for you: Here we'll surface personalized recommendations, like Creator Academy content based on the specific needs of your channel. In the future we’ll also help you understand why certain videos perform better than others so you can adapt your plans for future videos.
  • News: In the News card, you’ll receive the latest updates from across YouTube so you can easily keep up with everything that affects the creator community.
  • Channel Analytics: The Channel Analytics card gives you a quick overview of your channel’s main statistics, including your total subscriber count.

We always try to show you the most relevant information for your channel. However, some cards are dismissible. Hover over the card and look for three dots. Click on them and select Dismiss if you’re no longer interested in that content.
