DDEX reference resources

The features described in this article are available only to partners who use YouTube's Content Manager to manage their copyrighted content.

The message samples demonstrate how to communicate new releases and takedowns for Ad-supported streaming, YouTube Premium and Content ID. All samples are based on DDEX ERN version 3.8.2.

Sound Recordings - Album deliveries

These sample files follow the Audio Album profile and should be used for delivering on a per-release basis. See the Choosing a Release Profile article for more information.

In accordance with the DDEX convention, the filename of the DDEX file needs to include the unique Release ID for the album. The Release ID is the UPC, EAN,  GRid, or ISRC provided by the element. 

Status reports for DDEX deliveries

Starting 2018, YouTube will transition to using the DDEX standard FtpAcknowledgementMessage for all DDEX status reports.  See the ERN Choreography Standard documentation for more information on this message.
