Connect your phone number to your WhatsApp business account

This feature is gradually being rolled out and may not be available to you at this time.

Phone numbers are needed so that your WhatsApp business account can send messages to people and respond.

Before you begin

Sign up for Business Manager.
Create a WhatsApp business account.
A developer will need to connect your phone number after completing the steps.

Connect your phone number

To connect your phone number to your WhatsApp business account:

Navigate to Business Manager.
Select Create and manage.
Select WhatsApp Manager.
Navigate to the top bar and click Phone numbers.

If you have multiple WhatsApp business accounts, select which WhatsApp account you are setting up a phone number for in the drop-down menu.

Select Add phone number.
Input your phone number and business name. Your business name will be displayed when your message appears in your customer's WhatsApp app.
Select Add. Your phone number will now show as "Pending" under Approval status.
Under Certificate, click Download.

You should now have requested access for your phone number to be connected to your WhatsApp account. A developer will need to complete the connection process by visiting the WhatsApp API reference page.
