When a video's Monetization tab shows Recoupment, it means that revenue from the video is currently being applied against a monetary advance from YouTube.

Partners in a YouTube recoupment program receive advance funding to support video production. When the partner publishes the video(s), YouTube collects the revenue from the video(s) until we recoup the advance. After the revenue exceeds the advance, YouTube pays future revenues to the partner.

When you receive an advance from YouTube, the downloadable recoupment report shows the amount of the advance and the amount of revenue that has been applied against the advance so far. By default, YouTube applies recoupment to all videos you upload to your channel or on behalf of your content owner.
