List your Dealership's vehicle inventory on Marketplace

30/11/2019
This programme is currently available for dealerships selling used vehicles in specific regions.

Dealerships working with Facebook Marketplace inventory partners can list their vehicle inventory on Marketplace to reach more people on Facebook. Some of the benefits to listing inventory on Marketplace are:

  • Reaching people where they're already browsing vehicle listings.
  • Responding quickly to questions with Facebook Messenger or a short instant form, depending on your location.
  • Showing useful information such as price, model and mileage.
  • Targeting people with phone-friendly listings.

How to list vehicle inventory on Marketplace

A dealership with a Facebook Page can get started listing inventory on Marketplace by following these steps:

  1. Your dealership should sign up with one of our Marketplace inventory partners and contact them to arrange for the listings to be on Marketplace. See our listing partners and their contact info below.
  2. Your Marketplace inventory partner will request access to the dealership's Facebook Page. Your dealership's Page admin should click Settings at the top of your Facebook Page and find the Pending partner requests section to approve the request.
  3. Your dealership should connect their live chat provider with Messenger if applicable. If you don't use live chat, your inventory partner will arrange for you to receive instant forms from customers. Learn more about this below.

We don't charge to list inventory on Marketplace, but bear in mind that there may be fees to work with our partners.

Work with a Marketplace inventory partner

These are the Marketplace inventory partners that your dealership can work with to list vehicle inventory on Marketplace. Inventory partners are available for the United States, Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom and France. Here's how to contact each partner:

United States

Canada

Mexico

United Kingdom

France

Brazil

Germany

Australia

If your dealership works with one of our partners, they may already be automatically posting your vehicle inventory. Contact each inventory partner that you work with directly if you have a preference for which partner manages your inventory listings.

Connect Messenger with a live chat provider or use an instant form

Dealerships that use live chat

Dealerships can contact a live chat provider to connect with Messenger. This isn't required, but working with a live chat provider allows your dealership to manage messages from people interested in the vehicle listings they see on Marketplace. These live chat providers will work with Messenger:

If your dealership chooses not to use a live chat provider, you can still communicate with people through Messenger on the dealership's Facebook Page.

Dealerships that use an instant form

Instant forms may not be available to you at this time.

Dealerships that don't use Messenger will offer an instant form that asks for a customer's name, email address and phone number. Your dealership can use this information to contact customers about the listings they're interested in.

Dealerships that use instant forms can download their leads from their Page. To do this, a Page admin should follow these steps:

  1. Click Publishing tools at the top of the Page.
  2. Click Lead ad forms.
  3. Within the Forms library, select a form and click Download.
  4. After clicking Download, choose from these two options:
    • You can Download new leads if you only want to download new leads received since the last time you downloaded your leads.
    • You can Download by date range if you only want to download leads received during a certain time period. If you choose this option, click the Lifetime drop-down menu, select a date range and click Update.

  5. Click Download to finish downloading those leads to a CSV or XLS file.

Note: Some of our Marketplace inventory partners may download your instant form submissions through our API and send them to you. Contact your inventory partner to learn more.

Things to know about listing vehicle inventory on Marketplace

  • Dealerships can't list new cars, but can list certified pre-owned inventory.
  • Dealership listings will appear only on Marketplace, not on a Facebook Page (unless deliberately shared to a Page).
  • Car purchases can't be made directly on Marketplace. Marketplace just connects buyers and sellers.
  • Dealership listings will appear with individual sellers' listings on Marketplace, but buyers can filter between dealership or individual listings when they search for vehicles.
  • By default, Marketplace shows listings within 40 miles of a person's location. People can change this setting as needed when they search for vehicles.
  • For best results, dealerships should work with only one of our inventory partners. Working with more than one partner may result in fewer leads overall from Marketplace.
