Block friends

✅ Computer

When you block a  YouTube friend, they will not be able to share videos or chat with you on YouTube. This will also block the friend from seeing or commenting on content you've posted, and block the friend in some other Google products and services.  

Block users

  1. Sign in to YouTube.
  2. Go to Messages.
  3. Select the Friends tab. 
  4. Click the Menu icon More menu icon next to a friend’s name and click Block.

​Unblock users

  1. Sign in to YouTube.
  2. Go to the Blocked users section of your Google Account. 
  3. You'll see a list of accounts you've blocked across Google products.
  4. To unblock someone, next to that person's name, select Remove  .

 

 

✅ Android

When you block a  YouTube friend, they will not be able to share videos or chat with you on YouTube. This will also block the friend from seeing or commenting on content you've posted, and block the friend in some other Google products and services.  

Block friends

  1. Sign in to YouTube.
  2. Go to the inbox tab .
  3. Tap Shared.
  4. Tap View friends.
  5. Select a friend and a small window will show at the bottom of your screen.
  6. Select Block.

​Unblock users

  1. Sign in to YouTube.
  2. Tap your Account icon  in the top right corner.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Go to “History & privacy”.
  5. Tap Blocked friends.
  6. Select Unblock.

 

✅ iPhone & iPad

When you block a  YouTube friend, they will not be able to share videos or chat with you on YouTube. This will also block the friend from seeing or commenting on content you've posted, and block the friend in some other Google products and services.  

Block friends

  1. Sign in to YouTube.
  2. Go to the Inbox tab .
  3. Tap Messages.
  4. Tap View friends.
  5. Select a friend and a small window will show at the bottom of your screen.
  6. Select Block.

​Unblock users

To unblock friends on iOS, go to your desktop and follow these instructions:

  1. Go to Account icon .
  2. Select Settings icon .
  3. Go to “Blocked contacts.”
  4. Next to the name of the user that you blocked, click X, then click Save.
