About reporting features in the previous and new Google Ads experiences

30/11/2019

In general, the changes you make in the previous AdWords experience are reflected in the new Google Ads experience. However, certain advertisers will see changes in how some reporting features work. This article goes over reporting changes that aren’t reflected across both Google Ads experiences.

To save time, consider making changes to your reporting features in the new Google Ads experience only.

What's changing

Columns

Some columns that were available in the previous AdWords experience will not be available in the new one. The custom columns you’ve added will carry over, as long as they aren’t among the columns that have been removed from the new Google Ads experience. See which columns won’t be available in the new Google Ads experience.

Column sets

  • Column sets you create in the new experience won’t be available in the previous experience.
  • Column sets you create in the previous experience won’t be available in the new experience.
  • Any changes you make to your column sets will only be saved in the Google Ads experience where you made the change.

Filters

Some filters that were saved in the previous AdWords experience will not be available in the new one. See which filters won’t be available in the new Google Ads experience

Campaign management reports

  • Saved campaign management reports will not be migrated over to Google Ads Next from the previous AdWords experience.
  • Create Similar, which allows you to create a new report based on an existing one, will be available for reports created in the new Google Ads experience. However, you won’t be able to use Create Similar for campaign management reports created in the previous AdWords experience.

Manager account reports

  • Once your manager account reports have been migrated to the new Google Ads experience, any changes you make to your manager account reports in the previous experience won’t be reflected in the new experience.
  • You’ll be able to view and download your manager account reports in the new experience, but you won’t be able to make any changes to them.
