Leave the YouTube Partner Program

You can disable monetization on your channel completely by following the instructions to leave the YouTube Partner Program.

If you leave the YouTube Partner Program, you'll no longer earn any revenue from YouTube. You'll also lose access to YouTube Partner Program benefits, such as email support.

  1. Sign in to your YouTube account.
  2. In the top right, click your account icon > Creator Studio.
  3. On the left, select Channel > Monetization.
  4. Under "Review or change," select Leave YouTube Partner Program.
  5. In the window that pops up, click Leave. 
If you're part of a multi-channel network, you need to remove MCN access to your channel before you can continue.

To re-join the YouTube Partner Program, follow the instructions to apply again.
