If you received a coupon offer while using Facebook or through facebookmail.com, follow these steps to claim your offer.

  1. Click the offer from your notification or email and then start creating the ad it takes you to.
  2. Finish creating your ad and then confirm your purchase. If you haven't advertised on Facebook before, you'll be prompted to add a payment method to your ad account so that we have a payment method to charge if your coupon runs out but you keep running ads.

Once your ad purchase is complete, your coupon will be automatically added to your ad account. You can check that it was added successfully and track how much money is left on it by going to your payment settings.

Your coupon will be charged first for advertising costs that you accrue after it's been added to your account. However, it can't be used towards any costs that you accrued before activating your coupon. Those costs, as well as costs that you accrue once your coupon has been used up, will be charged to the primary payment method of your ad account or your prepaid balance (if you use a manual payment method). How to activate a coupon if you have a coupon code

If you have a coupon code, the steps to activating your coupon depend on whether you've advertised on Facebook before.

  1. Start creating an ad.
  2. When you're ready to make your ads purchase, click Confirm. You'll be prompted to add a payment method to your ad account so that we have one to charge if you use all of your coupon balance but continue to run ads.

  3. Fill in your payment method information.
  4. Select the I have a coupon to redeem checkbox.
  5. Click Continue.
  6. Enter the 16-digit coupon code you received (a 16-character combination of letters and numbers).
  7. Click Apply, then click Continue.

Your coupon will be added to your ad account, and it'll show up in the Payment method section of your payment settings.

  1. Go to your Payment settings.
  2. In the Payment method section, click Add Payment Method.
  3. Select Facebook ad coupon.
  4. Enter your coupon code, then click Apply.
  5. Click Continue.

Your coupon will be added to your ad account, and it'll show up in the Payment method section of your payment settings.

Why can't I add my coupon to my account?

If you're having trouble with adding your advertising coupon to your ad account, this may be because:

  • something went wrong, and there was an error while applying the coupon to your account. If this happens:
    • Ensure that you have a valid payment method connected to your ad account by going to your payment settings. If you don't, you can add a new payment method.
    • Cancel your promotion, wait a few hours and then try to claim your offer again.
  • The coupon is invalid or has expired.
  • The coupon has already been used, either on your account or on an account that shares a credit card with your account.
  • The number of free promotional uses for the coupon has been reached.
  • Your account has used a coupon in the past.
  • The coupon is for new advertisers only, and your account is too old to redeem the code.
