Facebook Instant Experience image and video options
30/11/2019
When you upload a photo to your Instant Experience, you have three options:
- Default fits the image to the width of the viewer's screen.
- Tap to expand fits the image to the width of the viewer's screen too, but viewers can tap it to see it at its natural size and shape. If the image is then wider than the screen, viewers can tilt their device to pan it (see below). They can also "pinch" the screen to zoom in on a part of the image.
- Tilt to pan fits the image to the height of the viewer's screen from the moment they see it. (They don't need to tap it and can't reduce it back down to the width of their screen.) The viewer can then tilt their device to the left or right to see the parts of the image that extend beyond the width of the screen.
When you upload images to a carousel, the image can be fit to the width or height of the screen, but can't be expanded or panned.
When you upload a video, you have the Fit to width and Fit to height (tilt to pan) options, which work in the same way as they do for photos.
