About automated rules

With automated rules, you can create rules in Ads Manager that automatically update or notify you of changes to your campaigns, ad sets or ads. When you create an automated rule, you choose:
- The active campaign, ad set or ad you want the rule to affect.
For example, you can create rules that:
- Turn off your ad when the ad doesn't perform well.
- Increase the budget of your ad set when more people click on your ad.
- Send a notification to your email address when the overall number of people who view your ad drops past a certain number.
While automated rules may cut down on the time needed to manage your ads, you should still monitor the overall performance of your ads to make sure that they're meeting your marketing goals.
