When you create a Facebook ad, you can have your ad appear in Marketplace to potentially reach more people. Ads in Marketplace appear to people browsing Marketplace on the Facebook app on their phone.

To create an ad to appear in Marketplace:

1. Go to Ads Manager and choose Reach, Traffic, Conversions, Catalogue Sales or Video Views as your objective. Learn more about objectives for ads in Marketplace. Then click Continue.
2. Choose your Destination.
3. Choose your Audience and define your targeting.
4. Choose Automatic placements or Edit placements.
• Choosing Automatic placements is a good way to use the Marketplace placement. Automatic placements show your ads in the placement that is most likely to drive campaign results at the lowest possible cost. Learn more about automatic placements.
• If you choose Edit placements, bear in mind that ads in Marketplace are only available when you run ads across multiple placements. This means that an ad campaign must include News Feed to also appear in Marketplace. Marketplace isn't currently available as a placement by itself.
5. Set your Budget and Schedule. Click Next when you've finished.
6. Choose your ad's creative format.
• The recommended specs are the same as for News Feed. You can't crop or upload unique creative for ads in Marketplace.
• Single recommended image size: 1,200 x 628 pixels; Image ratio: 1.9:1. Carousel recommended image size: 600 x 600 pixels; Image ratio: 1:1.
7. When you've finished setting up your ad, click Done and then Place Order.

Preview your ad in Marketplace

To preview your ad, find the Ad preview section next to the Links section where you choose the destination for your ad. Then choose Marketplace to see how your ad will appear in Marketplace before you purchase it.
