About ads in Marketplace

Facebook Marketplace is a place to buy and sell items. You can advertise on Marketplace to help your business reach more people. See the benefits of advertising on Marketplace.
When you create an ad, you can choose Marketplace as an ad placement. Ads in Marketplace appear when someone browses Marketplace in the Facebook app on their phone. Here's an example:
Objectives you can use with ads in Marketplace
When you create your ad, choose the Reach, Traffic, Conversions, Catalogue Sales or Video Views objectives to have an ad appear in Marketplace. When someone taps on your ad, they'll be sent to the destination you chose when you created the ad.
- The Traffic objective lets you choose where you want to drive traffic (to your website, app or Messenger).
- The Conversions objective lets you promote a website and use a Facebook pixel. (If you don't have a pixel, you'll see instructions on how to create one.)
- The Catalogue Sales objective automatically shows items from your catalogue based on your target audience.
- The Reach objective lets you maximise the number of people who see your ads and how frequently they can be seen.
- The Video Views objective shows an ad to the right audience to get the most video views of ten or more seconds at the lowest cost.

Things to know about ads in Marketplace
- Ads in Marketplace will also show in News Feed. It isn't currently possible for an ad to be shown only in Marketplace.
- All ads in Marketplace must comply with our Advertising Policies.
- You can also track conversions using a Facebook pixel with your ad.
- After you create an ad to appear in Marketplace, use breakdowns to understand your ad performance.
