Add your bank account as a payment method for Facebook ads

Online banking (or direct debit) is only available to accounts set up for automatic payments. If you use a manual payment method and add money to a prepaid balance to run your ads, you won't see an option to add a bank account.

If your country supports direct debit, you can connect your bank account to your Facebook ad account and use it to pay for your ads.

Before you begin

Learn more about what direct debit is.
Make sure that your country supports direct debit as a payment method for Facebook ads.
Bear in mind that you won't be able to add a bank account if your ad account has any unsettled charges. If you have charges that still need to be paid and want to add your bank account as a payment method, add a different payment method first, then make a manual payment to settle those charges.

Steps to add your bank account as a payment method for Facebook ads

Go to your payment settings.
Click Add payment method.
Choose Online banking and follow the instructions for verifying your account.

After you've added your bank account, it'll need to be verified before you can use it to pay for ads. The account verification process varies depending on your country.

If you've recently changed bank accounts and want to update your payment information on Facebook, you'll need to add your new bank account as a new payment method. When you do this, it may take three to four days to process. If you don't want to wait that long to continue advertising, you can add another payment method (e.g. a credit card or PayPal) while your new banking information is being processed.
