Businesses and advertisers can choose to deactivate items in their catalogue to hide or exclude them from appearing in ads or other sales channels on Facebook such as Instagram shopping, or even Page shops.

This function is available for items in your catalogue regardless of whether your catalogue was created using a data source, such as a feed, or uploaded manually. The deactivation will override the feed data.

To deactivate an item:

1. Go to Catalogue Manager.
2. Choose the catalogue that you want to update.
3. Hover your mouse over an item and click on the product that you want to deactivate. You can select multiple products.
   With your item(s) selected, click on the Deactivate Delivery button. The deactivation will be effective within a few minutes and consumers will not be able to see those products.

   There are three tab views on this page: All products, Activated, Deactivated. Switch between each to see which items you have activated or deactivated. The deactivated items will appear shaded in greyscale, and are not available to be used in campaigns or selling.

4. Deactivated catalogue items can be activated later to appear in your catalogue again.
