Manually create items in a catalogue

You can add products individually to your catalogue using a form. This is recommended if your inventory is fewer than 50 items.

While you can't create a dynamic ad when you use this option, you can create collection ads in the Traffic objective.

Note: Manual catalogue creation is only available for e-commerce.

To manually upload catalogue items:

If you have an existing catalogue, go to Catalogue Manager to see your catalogue. Click on Add Products in the top-right-hand corner, then select Add Manually to begin.
If you have just created a brand new catalogue, you will be taken to the manual upload catalogue page.
Fill in all the fields to add a new product item:
- The Name of your product should be under 26 characters (including spaces) for it to be displayed without being cropped.
- The Price is set to US dollars by default. After the first time you change the currency, your selection will be remembered.
- Add a Content ID if you want to run dynamic ads. This is an optional field. The Content ID will have to match a pixel event on your website and will also need to be associated to the catalogue before you can run retargeting ads.
Click Add product to save. To add more items, click Add another product and repeat the process.

Select and click into your catalogue from Catalogue Manager.
Go to the Settings tab, located in between Events and Create Ad.
Scroll down to the Delete catalogue section at the bottom of the page, and click Delete. This will remove your catalogue and all uploaded items in it from Facebook. Any ads currently running using this catalogue will no longer be delivered. You will no longer be able to edit campaigns using this catalogue once it's deleted.
