Donate to a nonprofit on YouTube
YouTube Giving is a suite of features designed to strengthen the way creators and fans can engage in charitable giving on the platform. There are many different ways to give, including Fundraisers, Community Fundraisers, Campaign matching, and Super Chat for Good.
Some of these features are only available to a small group of select creators. These creators are helping us pilot the features. Our aim is to expand these features to more creators in the coming months.
You can contribute to U.S.-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations through participating creators’ YouTube channels. During the pilot period, the nonprofit gets 100% of your donation (YouTube covers the processing fees) when you donate.

Some creators have “Donate” buttons displayed next to their videos or live streams. To donate to the organization that they've chosen, follow the steps below.
Go to the video with the “Donate” button on it, then:
- Choose the Donate button.
- Select the amount of money you want to donate.
- Click Continue,
- Choose the GPay credit card you’d like to use.
Note: You may also add a new form of payment to your GPay - Click Donate > Done.

Donate to a nonprofit using Super Chat for Good
Viewers in the U.S. can donate through Super Chat for Good. When you purchase a Super Chat for Good, 100% of your purchased amount will be donated to the nonprofit. Your YouTube channel name, and the amount you donated, will be made public.
You’ll know a creator has switched on this option if you see the Super Chat for Good button 
To donate:
- Select the Super Chat for Good button
within a live chat. The live chat must be visible and mobile devices must be in portrait mode.
- To select an amount, either drag the slider or type your desired value.
- Optionally, enter your message.
- Select Buy and send.
- To finish your purchase, follow the instructions.
Super Chat for Good is not currently available on iOS.
You'll get an email receipt after your payment has been processed. For each transaction, you'll see a line item on your credit card receipt that notes that you made a donation through "Network for Good" or "Charitable Giving."
Donate to a nonprofit using donation cards
Some creators have donation cards on their channels. To donate to the organization that they've chosen, follow the steps below:
Computer
- Go to the YouTube video that has the donation card on it. If you don't see the donation card, click the
icon at the top of the video.
- Click Donate now.
- Choose the amount of money you want to donate.
- Click Next.
- Choose the credit card you'd like to use or enter a new card to make the payment.
- Click Donate.
- When you see the confirmation screen, click Done.

- Go to the YouTube video that has the donation card on it.
- If you don't see the donation card, click the
icon at the top of the video.
- Under the video, tap Donate now.
- Choose the amount of money you want to donate.
- Tap Next.
- Tap Donate.
No matter how you donate, you'll get an email receipt after your payment has been processed. For each transaction, you'll see a line item on your credit card receipt that notes that you made a donation through "Network for Good" or "Charitable Giving."
