Link Firebase and Google Ads

30/11/2019

Once you've linked your Google Ads and Firebase accounts, you can import conversions and conversion event data (for example, parameters) from Google Analytics for Firebase to see how your ad campaigns drive app installs and in-app actions for your Android and iOS apps. You can also automatically import audiences that you create in Google Analytics for Firebase.

This article describes how to link and unlink your Google Ads and Firebase accounts. You can also read About using Firebase and Google Ads together.

About unlinking Google Ads and Firebase

After linking, you can unlink your Google Ads account from Firebase projects at any time. When you unlink a Firebase project:

  • Google Ads and the Firebase project will stop sharing data.
  • Google Ads will stop importing conversions from that Firebase project, and new users won't be added to connected remarketing lists.
  • You'll still be able to see previously shared data in both Google Ads and Firebase.

You can unlink your Firebase project from your Google Ads account or from your Firebase account. Learn more about how to unlink from your Firebase account.

Keep in mind

If your account is managed by a manager account, you’ll have access to all projects that are linked to the manager account. Any data the manager account imports from Firebase will also be available to you. If the manager account unlinks from those Firebase projects, your account will also be unlinked.

Before you begin

To link a Firebase project to Google Ads, use a Google Account that has the following permissions:

  • In Firebase, your account needs to be an owner on the project that you want to link.
  • In Google Ads, the Google Account needs administrative access.

Keep in mind that to unlink a Firebase project from Google Ads, or to edit the link in any way, you’ll need to have those same access levels.

Instructions

The new Google Ads experience is now the exclusive way for most users to manage their accounts. If you’re still using the previous AdWords experience, choose “previous” below. Learn more
