What do Campaign Planner's charts show me?
The Campaign Planner tool lets you draft, compare and share media campaigns across Facebook and Instagram. Learn more about using Campaign Planner.
The charts in Campaign Planner let you interact with different versions of a media plan so you can easily compare and adjust them. Drag and drop different functions to get a visual breakdown of:
Reach & budget: The number and percentage of your total audience that you're predicted to reach and your budget. To see how much of your audience you can reach depending on your budget, drag the marker on the chart.
You can also compare the predicted reach for multiple versions of a media plan.
To compare multiple versions in the Reach & budget tool:
- Create a second version of your media plan.
- The chart will automatically change to a bar chart that includes the second version of your plan. A new bar will automatically be added for each new version that you create, so you can compare as many versions as you create.
You can drag the bars within the chart itself to automatically adjust the reach of each version.
Frequency per person: The percentage of people who are predicted to see your ad a set number of times. In the example below, about 48% of the audience is predicted to see the ad from campaign version #1 once and about 52% are predicted to see it twice.
Spend per day: The amount that you're predicted to spend per day on the campaign. This chart is only shown when the reach is over 15% of the total reachable audience. The example below compares the predicted Spend per day of three different plans, starting at $8,000, $20,000 and $32,000.
Placement distribution: The percentage of people who are predicted to see your ad by placement. The example below shows placement distribution across four comparative versions of a media plan.
Note that Instagram ads appear on the mobile app only. There are no ads on the desktop version of Instagram.
TV viewership habits distribution:You can see what percentage of your audience fits into different TV viewing habits. This is especially useful when creating plans for campaigns designed to reach certain types of TV viewers. Learn more about targeting TV viewers with the reach and frequency buying type.
