Share or request access to monthly invoicing
If your business is set up for monthly invoicing, you can share access to your payment setting with another business to let them spend with it, too. This may be a helpful option if, for example, you work with an agency or another partner who manages your ads.
In order for two businesses to share access to monthly invoicing, they must meet all of the following criteria:
- Both businesses are in the United States, France or Brazil.
- Both businesses are in the same country.
- Both businesses are managed by a Facebook account representative.
When a monthly invoicing line is shared, the business that receives access to it will be able to create ad accounts using the monthly invoicing setting as their payment method and will receive the monthly invoices for what they spend with it. However, normally if the invoices aren't paid, the business that originally applied for and set up monthly invoicing in Business Manager will ultimately be liable for payment, also known as sequential liability.
- Go to the Payments section of your business settings.
- Click Allocate Credit.
- In the Receiving business field, enter the Business Manager ID of the business that you want to share monthly invoicing with.
- Review the Terms and Conditions and then click Next to confirm authority to act on behalf of your business.
- Review the access and liability terms. Bear the following in mind:
- Businesses in France will be able to select which business they want as the "bill-to party", but the liability type won't change based on this choice.
- Click Confirm.
- Click Submit.
Note: A Business Manager's ID can be found in the Business info section of a business's business settings.
The receiving business will be sent a notification in Business Manager, and a pending request will go to the Requests section of their business settings. If they accept access, an option for monthly invoicing will appear in the Payments section of their business settings, and they'll be able to add it as a payment method for ads.
Bear in mind that when you share your monthly invoicing setting with another business, they will have full, unlimited access to it.
- Go to the Payments section of your business settings.
- Click Request Ad Credit.
- In the Credit owner field, enter the Business Manager ID of the business who owns the monthly invoicing setting that you want to use.
- Read the Terms and Conditions and then click Next to confirm your authority to act on behalf of your business.
- Review the access and liability terms.
- Click Confirm.
- Click Submit to send your request.
Note: A Business Manager's ID can be found in the Business info section of a business's business settings.
The business that you're requesting access from will be sent a notification in Business Manager, and your request will go to the Requests section of their business settings. If they approve access, an option for monthly invoicing will appear in the Payments section of your business settings, and you'll be able to add it as a payment method for ads.
