About shops and their benefits
Once you have a Facebook business Page, you can add a shop. You can use this section on your Page to list products that you're selling and to connect with more customers on Facebook.
Who can use a shop
While any business can benefit from a shop, this feature is best for merchants, retail and e-commerce advertisers. In general, we recommend it for businesses selling apparel, beauty, accessories (including bags and luggage), home furnishings and baby or kids products. But other types of businesses can still use a shop to reach more people on Facebook.
Note: If you do add a shop to your Page, you must accept the responsibilities outlined in our Merchant Terms.
Differences between a shop and a catalogue
A shop is different from a catalogue. A catalogue is a container for all the items that you want to promote across Facebook, Instagram, Audience Network and Messenger. The Shop tab refers to the section on your Page. You can tag products from your catalogue on your Page, but that doesn't mean that they're part of your shop. If you want products to appear in your shop, you need to add them directly in the tab.
What you can do with a shop
Although any business Page can add a shop, it will have different features depending on your location. For any shop, you can
- Add products and product information.
- Curate your shop's product inventory.
- Communicate with customers directly from your Page.
- Get recommendations on your Page.
- See insights (e.g. views or clicks) about your product listings.
For US shops, you can also sell and manage orders directly from your Page. Once your products are added, customers can browse and buy them without having to leave your Page. You can then mark orders as shipped, or cancel and refund orders directly from your Page.

Here's why a shop can be valuable to you:
- Add as many products as you want: You don't need to have a product catalogue uploaded anywhere first, and there's no limit on how many products you can add.
- Customise your product inventory: You can organise your products into different collections so that your customers can browse your shop by category.
- Communicate easily with customers: Your customers can message the shop on your Page with questions.
- Get detailed insights: Depending on the type of shop you have, you can see views, clicks and purchases for each of your products.
- Distribute your products broadly: When you have a shop, your products may appear in Marketplace, so more people might discover them. This is currently a limited feature.
