About standard events and standard event conversion value metrics
Events are actions that happen on your website, either as a result of Facebook ads (paid) or organic reach (unpaid). Standard events enable you to track specific customer actions, optimise for conversions and build audiences to drive business outcomes with Facebook advertising.
Today, standard event metrics are channel-specific. However, people's behaviour is becoming increasingly omni-channel: a person can see an ad on mobile, click to view content on mobile, then complete the purchase transaction on web or offline or sometimes both. To help advertisers better measure this complex path to purchase, we will be adding omni-channel total, conversion value and custom event metrics to our existing standard event metrics.

Note: The mobile app custom events metric will replace the current other mobile app actions metric to reduce confusion with the use of "Other" in the offline channel context.
