Calls to action help drive people from Facebook to take actions that are important to your business. Adding a CTA button to your Page is free and makes it easy for your audience to take immediate action. Once you have a button added to your Page, you can run an ad for your CTA that will function as an ad, so you can share your button with a wider audience.

What you need to get started

You'll need a published Facebook Page with an added call-to-action button to run this type of ad. Make sure that you're either an admin, editor, moderator or advertiser to add a CTA button to your Page. When creating your ad, you'll decide who will see your ad and what it will look like. You can also choose to have your ad run on Instagram in addition to Facebook News Feed if you've linked an Instagram account with your Page.

Create a CTA ad from your Page

1. Go to your Facebook Page.
2. At the bottom of the main menu, click Promote.
3. Click Promote your [call to action].
4. Fill in the details for your ad.
5. Click Promote.
