Download the practice file so you can follow along with this project. It contains all you need to get going.

Starting in the Graphics workspace, select the Type tool and click into the placeholder text in the Program Monitor to type your title. Click the Horizontal Center button in the Align and Transform tools to automatically center your title.

With the Selection tool active, click the gray rectangle and drag its left side so it spans the screen. If you don’t like how it obscures your title, drag its layer down in the Essential Graphics panel. Right-click a line’s layer and select Duplicate to add more lines. It’s a good habit to rename each new layer by right-clicking it and choosing Rename. Reposition each new element by changing its Position or Rotation setting. Adjust the item’s Opacity slider to add a see-through effect.

Zoom out in the Program Monitor. Position the playhead where you want the animation to end. Adjust the position, opacity, scale, and so on of every element so it’s exactly where you want it. For every property you adjust, click the property’s icon to create a keyframe at that value.
