The Clarity slider helps you give dull images extra punch by adding contrast to the midtones.

Use Clarity to bring out detail in your photos

Clarity creates sharpness, and it makes the textures in your images stand out.

1. With a photo selected, click the Edit icon in the column on the right.
2. In the Effects panel, drag the Clarity slider to the right to increase midtone contrast and sharpness, bringing out detail in midtone areas.
3. Drag the Clarity slider to the left to decrease midtone contrast and sharpness, creating a softening effect.
   

Use the Dehaze slider to reduce haze

The Dehaze slider helps you cut through haze, mist, or fog in your photos to reveal hidden detail and color.

1. With a photo selected, click the Edit icon in the column on the right.
2. In the Effects panel, drag the Dehaze slider to the right to cut through haze and restore detail and color. You can also drag the Dehaze slider to the left to simulate haze. This is a great way of adding an atmospheric effect to a photo.

Use the Dehaze slider to reveal hidden detail

Even if the photo does not contain any haze, you can use the Dehaze slider to bring back detail to dull and bright photos.
