Create a dynamic ad

30/11/2019

Dynamic ads automatically promote products to people who've expressed interest on your website, in your app or elsewhere on the Internet.

You can create a dynamic ad with the carousel, single image or collection ad format. Instead of individually creating an ad for each of your products, you create an ad template that automatically uses images and details from your catalogue. When you create a dynamic ad, you have the option of using different creative options (such as overlays and offers) to encourage people to take action on your ad. Learn more about the creative options available for dynamic ads.

Before you begin

To create a dynamic ad, you need:

  • A catalogue. A catalogue contains product information for all items that you'd like to advertise with your Facebook ads.
  • The Facebook pixel. The Facebook pixel is an analytics tool that allows you to measure the effectiveness of your advertising and understand the actions people take on your website.

Get started

To begin creating your dynamic ad:

  1. Go to Ads Manager.
  2. Click + Create.
  3. Create your campaign. When you create your campaign, make sure that you choose Catalogue Sales as your marketing objective and your catalogue.
  4. Create your ad set. Make sure that you choose the product set that you want to advertise, and then set up your audience, placement, budget and schedule.

Note: The audience you target is based on activity from your pixel. You can choose to retarget existing customers or target a broad audience.

After you create your ad set, you can then set up a template for your dynamic ad using one of these ad formats: carousel, single image or collection.
