Troubleshooting event setup tool
- How to setup events
Facebook can find and suggest events based on button text that matches standard Facebook event names. These suggested events will be listed and you can choose to confirm or dismiss them. If there are other events you'd like to add that haven't been suggested, you can navigate through your website, and add events to buttons or to page URLs.
- Can I use the event setup tool if I set up events manually in the past?
Yes, if you've set up events using code, you can also set up new events using the event setup tool. If you try to set up a standard event that is already being tracked in code, you'll receive a warning message.
- Can I add parameters to events?
No. At the moment, we don't support parameters, but we will be supporting parameters in future.
- Where can I view and test the events I set up?
To view your events go to your pixel and select Settings > Event Setup. To test your events, go to your pixel, select Test Events and follow the instructions to check your events are firing correctly.
