Manage Page ads

30/11/2019

After promoting your Page, you may want to make changes to your ad, stop your ad or alter your payment method. Below you'll find a list of the changes you can make to your ad.

Make changes to your Page ad

Your daily budget is based on how many people are likely to see an ad suggesting that they like your Page. Your daily budget is also the average amount you're willing to spend each day to promote your Page. Each day begins at midnight in the time zone for your account, and we prorate the first and last days of your campaign. If you create your Page ad at 8 pm, we'll try to spend 1/6 of your daily budget on the first day, the full budget on each full day and 5/6 of your daily budget on the last day.

You can choose to run your ad continuously or you can choose an end date. If you run your ad continuously, make sure that you stop your ad when you're happy with the size of your Page's audience or when you've reached the total amount that you want to spend.

Managing billing and payments

When you start creating ads or boosting posts from your Page, you can manage your payment options and check on your billing history. All of this can be done from Ads Manager.

Create an account spending limit:

Setting an account spending limit will help ensure that you don't exceed your budget. We recommend creating an account spending limit before or directly after creating ads from your Page. An account spending limit sets an overall limit on the amount of money that you're willing to spend on Facebook ads. Learn how to set an account spending limit.

View your billing history:

You can go to the Billing section of Ads Manager to view your billing history. You may be billed differently based on the country you're from and how you've set up your payment method. You may also see multiple charges in your billing history. These charges, when added together, shouldn't be higher than the initial budget you set when you created your ad. At times, the total may be lower due to your ad losing the ad auction.

All ads, including ads you create from your Page, take part in an ad auction. In the auction, your ads compete with other ads to be shown on Facebook. The auction considers two factors: the value that ads create for advertisers by helping them reach and get results from people in their audience and whether or not the ad is providing a positive and relevant experience for people using the Facebook family of apps and services. If your ad loses the auction often, you may not be able to spend the full budget you set.

Edit your payment options:

You can also add, edit and remove payment options from Ads Manager. Once you've made your changes, they should be reflected in the payments section of the ad that you're creating from your Page.
