About the updated Ads Manager

We've combined Ads Manager and Power Editor into one interface to make it easier for advertisers to create, manage and report on their ads. With this interface, you may notice some useful features.

You can use this article as a guide to help you understand and take advantage of the features.

Create ads

When creating ads from scratch, you can choose from two workflows to create and manage your ads:

  1. Guided creation: This option guides you through the steps to create a campaign to completion.

    Choose this workflow if you are new to Facebook ads and want step-by-step instructions.
  2. Quick creation: This option allows you to set up the campaign and then create ad sets and ads later.

    Choose this workflow if you're an advertiser with more advanced skills and are familiar with the previous Power Editor workflow.

Note: The workflow you initially choose will become the default choice each time you click the Create Ad button. You can change this default or switch between the two workflows at any time by clicking the Switch button at the top of the creation flow.

Edit ads

In the updated Ads Manager, you have the option to edit ads and publish the changes immediately or to edit ads and save the changes to publish later.

To make edits and publish immediately, select the campaigns, ad sets and ads that you want to edit and click Edit or the edit icon to open the side panel. Once you've made your edits, click Publish, and your edits are immediately applied to your ads.

To make edits and publish these edits later, you will take the same steps as above, but you will select Close instead of Publish. To publish these edits later, go to Review and publish to see pending edits and confirm these changes. Learn more about editing ads.

Create and find reports

In the new interface, your reports are located in Ads Reporting within the Ads Manager main menu. To create reports, you'll also need to navigate to Ads Reporting.

To create reports:

  1. Click Ads Reporting from the main menu
  2. Click Create Report.
  3. In the drop-down menu above the reporting table, select Account, Campaign, Ad set or Ad depending on the information that you want to report on
  4. In the reporting table, select the campaigns, ad sets or ads that you want to report on and then click Apply
  5. To save your report, click Save Changes, name the report and click Save
